As part of the A Stitch in Time project, funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, the Framework Knitters Museum has introduced new Braille resources to help make visits to the museum more accessible.
Visitors can now access Braille copies of our admission information, along with Braille versions of our visitor guide, which can be borrowed from the front desk and used while exploring the museum.
The Braille guides provide information about the museum buildings, exhibits and the story of the framework knitters, helping visitors who are blind or partially sighted to enjoy the museum independently.
These new resources are part of our ongoing efforts to make the museum as welcoming and accessible as possible for everyone.
We are also currently exploring the introduction of additional Braille signage around the museum to further improve accessibility.
If you have any questions about the Braille guides during your visit, please feel free to speak to a member of our team.
